We run training for the people who use Maximo Mobile, the people who configure it, and the people who build apps with the Maximo Application Framework (MAF). Every course runs on a real Maximo environment, yours or ours, fitted to the apps and processes that your team uses.
Training tracks#
End users. The mobile apps they use every day: finding work, recording time and materials, working offline, syncing back. We train on your configuration, so the screens in the course are the screens in the field.
Administrators. How Maximo Mobile is set up on the Maximo Application Suite:
- which apps a user gets and why
- how the offline data is prepared for the first download
- what to check when a device does not behave
Developers. A MAF developer course for people who build or change apps themselves:
- the structure of a MAF app and its application descriptor
- pages, datasources and controllers
AppCustomizations.js- local development, testing and publishing
IBM’s own shipped apps are the examples, so your developers learn the patterns IBM uses.
Maximo and automation scripts. For teams on classic Maximo or on their way to MAS: automation scripts, object structures, the REST API and integration basics.
Workshops. One or two days on one topic, for example offline design, a migration from Maximo 7.6, or a review of your own apps together with your developers.
Formats#
- Remote over video is our default for every course.
- On site on request, also in Austria, Germany and Switzerland.
- In English or German. German courses keep the English terms that the product uses, such as work order, object structure and datasource.
- Small groups, with time for questions and hands-on work.
- Course material that stays with your team after the course.
The background behind it#
Wolfgang Fiedler has worked with IBM Maximo since version 6.2, today mostly on Maximo Mobile and MAF. The developer track comes out of that daily work and out of the documentation we publish in the Maximo Mobile section of this site.
Talk to us#
Tell us who should be trained and what they should be able to do afterwards. Get in touch and we will propose an agenda. We work in English and German.
